By Air: Several times a week from Athens, Kassos, Santorini and Rhodes daily.

On the ferry there are direct schedules from Piraeus, Rhodes and Crete up to 4 times a week. With the rest of the Dodecanese islands and the islands of Karpathos connect via Rhodes and Crete.

The airport is located south of Karpathos. There are daily flights from Athens and Rhodes to Karpathos 2-3 times a day.
There is also a flight 3 times a week from Rhodes to Karpathos Kassos through and through Sitia Karpathos Kassos 2 times a week (note that routes can be changed).
There are also many charter flights from abroad directly to Karpathos. Consult your travel agent.

Visiting Karpathos island is like visiting a "time travel".
Karpathos, high and mighty, located in the Carpathian Sea between Crete and Rhodes. After quite a long journey, you find yourself on this mountainous island, difficult to reach, but one of the most beautiful of the Dodecanese.
It is an island with very strong traditions which maintain people - so this is probably one of the few islands where most will feel the hospitality of Greece as it was 50 years ago!
Although the city of the island is bustling with many cafes, bakeries and restaurants, the island has not yet been delivered to the mass tourism, so you can find small secluded beaches where you're really on your own.
DO NOT FORGET to visit the village of Olympos ", where women move up today wearing traditional local costumes.
Karpathos is the second largest island of the Dodecanese islands with beautiful beaches and natural beauty.
The southern part has valleys and plains and the central and northern Karpathos is mountainous.
Karpathos is the ideal place for a quiet holiday. Karpathos or Pigadia is the capital and main port of the island.
Its ancient name was Potideo or Poseideio. It is a modern city no particular significant buildings or landmarks.
The city It is set on the edge of the bay Vrontis one 4 km sandy beach where you can swim or do water sports.
On the beach there are the remnants of the proto-Christian church of Agia Fotini.
Start from Pigadia and follow the road to Ammoopi Makrigialos, go to Menetes and proceed to Arkassa where the acropolis and the remains of proto-Christian church of St. Anastasia.
From there the road goes to Finiki, White and Mesochori. From Mesochori Spoa will go and continue to the picturesque village of Olympos.
Just arriving there you will understand why Homer refers to when he calls Karpathos island of winds. At the end of the road is Diafani whereafter you will return to the capital and along the way it will go to Kyra Panagia, Aperi (ancient Karpathos), and Volada Othos.
By excursion boats will visit the most picturesque beaches and transparent that it is the second port.
It has a beach with pebbles and 312 residents. In the northern sea areas of Karpathos live the protected Mediterranean seal Monachus-monachus. The highest mountain of the island is the Good Lake with an altitude of 1.215 meters
